You are my inspiration,
I suppose you wonder why
It’s because I’ve watched you remain true to the things you’ve expressed ~ unwavering
You have an incredible gift of loving at times I wonder how
I’ve seen your faith breathe life into otherwise hopeless situations ~ never doubting
The truthfulness of who you are the kind things you do
~ so naturally
You are my inspiration
I hope this explains why

I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge all of the wonderful women I have encountered. I’ve been inspired by so many of you over the years. Not because of major accomplishments, but for personal victories. As women, we deal with a lot of things. We juggle family and careers. Many times, prayer is the only thing we have to hold on to. But in our prayer closet is where we gain strength and resolve to stand another day.
I don’t have a lot to say today. Simply reflecting. Tomorrow, I will celebrate 49 years of living. I can’t help but think of the many women that God has blessed me to connect with, learn from, and be inspired by. I just wanted to remind you that you are an inspiration, even when you think no one is looking.
May God truly bless you…
All my love
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble ~ Psalms 46:1 (KJV)
I had a distinct experience that allowed me to see the power of this scripture from a very different perspective.
this is what happened…
My son was staying with me. He had found a job within walking distance of our home. This particular evening, due to a shipment arriving late, he was asked to clock in at 2:00am rather than the usual 10:00pm. Even though his job was within walking distance, it was cold, and living near downtown, well let’s just say, the streets are not always the safest place to be at night. I told him I would give him a ride – so at 1:30am we left. As we were driving, we noticed an oddly dressed woman walking, crying hysterically, attempting to flag us down. At the time, I wasn’t sure, but I thought she had a cast on her left arm. My gut reaction was to pull over and see how we could help her. My son reminded me of a time when he tried to help a woman whose car had stopped during the holidays a year ago – when he stopped to help her, there were 2 men hiding nearby – he was robbed. He scolded me about my safety. Continue reading
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2 NKJV
I had the awesome pleasure of attending the Make Mine a Million conference in Denver Colorado yesterday. What made this conference so wonderful is that even though the women who attended are either on the way or have already become millionaires, it was clear that prosperity has many levels and money is not necessarily at the top.
Prosperity is about the richness of our lives and relationships. It is about self acceptance and acceptance of other human beings. It is about loving and being loved. It is about purpose.
I believe it is God’s will for us to prosper on every level – to be healthy and enjoy life. I believe it is okay to prosper financially, but never allow pursuit of financial gain to interfere with the richness of our lives and relationships, our acceptance of self and others, loving and being loved or our purpose. I will even go as far as to say that when we prosper spiritually, we are better equipped to walk into other areas and levels of prosperity.
I am inspired to prosper in all things and be in health, just as my soul prospers.
