the balance of giving AND receiving

15 Apr

“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” Acts 20:35 NIV

It is more blessed to give than to receive.  Not only is it good to give, whether it be a smile, a kind word, time, or financial resources, it just feels wonderful to be a blessing to someone else.  Where we have a difficult time – is in receiving.  But if we refuse to receive, we interrupt another person’s sowing and reaping process. So we must find balance in giving and receiving.  We should give from our hearts whenever we can and allow others to be blessed by receiving what God has placed in their hearts concerning us.

To God be the glory for the great things he has done. It is with great pleasure and joy I write unto all who will be sharing in this wonderful blog. The scripture states that the joy of the Lord is our strength. I encourage all to remember that when God made us wonderful he also gave us his joy with the Holy Ghost. The spirit of God. The Logos or thought of God. Keep the joy that God gave you. If you don’t have joy Act chapter 2 verse 38 is the beginning of joy. Love you all in Jesus name. Candy
